Ingredients
10 sheets frozen puff pastry, thawed
2 tart apples
100 g raisins
1 tsp ground cinnamon
6 tbsp granulated sugar
1 egg, beaten
Optional luxury variation
150 g almond paste
Finely chopped walnuts
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
Line a baking tray with baking paper and place the puff pastry sheets on top. Allow them to thaw completely.
Wash and peel the apples, then remove the cores. Cut the apples into very small pieces.
In a bowl, combine the apples with the raisins, cinnamon, and half of the sugar.
Divide the filling among the pastry sheets, leaving a border around the edges.
Brush the edges of the pastry with beaten egg. Fold each sheet diagonally to form a triangle and press the edges firmly to seal.
Brush the tops with the remaining beaten egg and sprinkle with the remaining sugar.
Bake in the centre of the oven for approximately 25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Serve warm or allow to cool before enjoying.
